Miguel Angel “Junito” Cotto and Yuri Foreman will fight for the WBA World light middleweight title tonight at the Yankee Stadium in the New York City borough of The Bronx, the home ballpark for the New York Yankees.

Cotto had a thrilling performance on his last bout against Manny Pacquiao. And even though he lost that battle, he had given the crowd a very spectacular game worth watching for. Cotto fought hard and though he was badly hurt, he was able to reach the last round. But at 0:55 of the 12th round, referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight. He lost his WBO Welterweight title but he’s now aiming for the WBA World light middleweight title.

After a “No Contest” bout against Cornelius Bundrage on June 27, 2009, Yuri Foreman was able to defeat Daniel Santos in the WBA World light middleweight title bout on November 14, 2009. Foreman won via unanimous decision. Robert Hoyle and Jerry Roth scored the bout 117-109 and Clark Sammartino scored the bout 116-110, all in favor of Foreman.
