For the fourth time, heartthrob actor Leonardo DiCaprio who catapulted to fame with flicks like James Cameron’s Titanic and famed director Martin Scorsese team up for another exciting film entitled “Shutter Island”. Their previous collaborations included 2002′s “Gangs of New York”, 2004′s “The Aviator” and 2006′s Academy Award winning “The Departed”.

In a recent interview in the morning news show Good Morning America, DiCaprio described their latest venture as a mixture of genres which gives the film a “Hitchcockian” flavor. Elements of a psychological thriller and gothic horror add to this engaging new film which is based on the novel “Mystic River” by author Dennis Lehane.

Set in a remote island off the cost of Boston, DiCaprio plays the role of a U.S. Marshall who investigates the disappearance of a female patient from Ashecliffe Hoospital. While investigating he uncovers more than he bargained for as a hurricane hits the island and cuts off communication lines to the mainland, thus causing more chaos in Shutter Island. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley and is slated for release on February 19, 2010.
