Malacañang has declared that October 25, 2010, Monday will be a special non-working holiday. In Proclamation number 48 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, October 25 was declared a holiday to make way for the nationwide barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
